Jonah’s story is about more than being swallowed by a fish 🐋. It’s about trust and obedience 🙏. When God called Jonah to preach to Nineveh, Israel's enemy, Jonah ran the other way 🏃♂️. He didn’t want to follow a plan that seemed unfair or dangerous 😬. Can we relate? How often do we resist God’s direction because it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient? 😕 Jonah knew God’s will, but still doubted 🤔.
Like the Prodigal Son, both sons—the rule follower and the rebel—trusted themselves over their father. We do the same when we reject God's plan. But running from God is exhausting 😓. When we finally stop running, God is ready to welcome us back with open arms 🤗, no matter how far we’ve strayed. Trust in Him—He knows what’s best 💖.
