8.3.25 Chris Weeks
Aug 3, 2025 • Chris Weeks
Jesus didn’t need to be baptized because of sin — He was sinless. He did it to stand in our place, to show obedience, and to launch His ministry by stepping into our brokenness.
He stood where sinners stood.
🏠 Lived with us.
🍞 Broke bread with us.
💔 Felt our weakness.
His baptism was a symbol of humility, obedience, and love — showing us what it means to follow God fully.
And after His baptism?
☁️ Heaven opened
🕊️ The Spirit descended
📣 The Father spoke: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Jesus didn’t just save us — He walked with us first.
Verses to ponder this week:
Matthew 3:13-17
2 Corinthians 5:21
Hebrews 4:15
