Mary had a plan. She was betrothed to Joseph, dreaming of a simple, faith-filled life… and then God interrupted it. Like us, Mary loved certainty, but God changed the plan she felt confident in. When the angel said, “Do not be afraid, you have found favor with God,” she was still troubled. Favor didn’t remove fear — it met her in the middle of it.

Mary questioned, she wrestled, and then she surrendered: “Let it be done to me according to Your word.” God isn’t threatened by our questions. He often uses them to build assurance. Ordinary doesn’t mean insignificant, and discomfort doesn’t mean disobedience — sometimes it means you’re right in the center of His will.

We may trust our plans, but God’s plans are always bigger. Through one willing “yes,” God changed the world. Mary wasn’t perfect — she simply had a willing heart.

God still interrupts our lives today, not to harm us, but to invite us into purpose. And when we say yes, heaven rejoices. 💛
