The story of Jonah shows what happens when we run from God’s calling. Jonah was told to preach to Nineveh—a violent, terrifying city—but instead he fled in the opposite direction 🏃‍♂️➡️.

Like Jonah, we often resist God’s plan when it’s uncomfortable, especially when it involves people we’d rather avoid.

❤️ But God’s love isn’t limited to who we’re comfortable with. When we run, storms will follow—not to destroy us, but to draw us back. Jonah’s disobedience didn’t just affect him; it endangered everyone around him. Still, God used even Jonah’s rebellion to reveal His power, calm the sea, and bring others to faith.

The wind obeys. The sea obeys. The fish obeys. Why wouldn’t we?

🐋 Even in the darkness of the fish’s belly, Jonah discovered that God hears prayers from the deepest pit. God rescued him, restored him, and sent him back on mission.
